1980 History
- 1980.03 Registered the establishment of Sajo Refrigeration Ltd.
- 1988.01 Named the company for key industries (fishing industry)
1990 History
- 1990.11 Launched the Sajo Lo-Hi Popcorn (first-ever product in Korea)
- 1991.05 Made foray into the food service industry (opened the 1st restaurant specializing in tuna in Guro)
- 1993.06 Merged Sajo Food Ltd.
- 1994.01 Merged Sechang Ltd.
- 1999.02 Began operating the processing plant for frozen tuna in Busan (located in Gamcheon Port)
- 1999.08 Renamed from Sajo Refrigeration Ltd. to Sajo CS Ltd.
2000 History
- 2000.07 Moved the processing plant for tuna to Songdo
2001 History
- 2001.11 Honored with the $30-million Export Tower
2005 History
- 2005.05 Moved the food business unit (Iksan plant for dried laver and popcorn) to Yongje-dong : Began the OEM production under the brand ‘Haepyo’ dried laver
- 2005.09 Introduced the new popcorn machine (increased daily outputs from 27,000 bags to 47,000 bags)
2006 History
- 2006.02 Opened the Sajo Logistics Center in Busan (located in Gamcheon Port) (Moved the processing plant for tuna and initiated the storage business with freezing and refrigeration)
- 2006.05 Opened a brand store at E-Mart (including PB products)
2007 History
- 2007.01 Moved the main office (157, 2-ga, Chungjeong-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul)
- 2007.04 Began operating the processing plant for fishery products and food ingredients at Sajo Logistics Center in Busan
- 2007.05 Food business unit (seasoned dried laver), accredited with the HACCP for the first time in the sector (Korea Food & Drug Administration)
- 2007.06 Food processing unit at Sajo Logistics Center, accredited with the HACCP (Korea Food & Drug Administration)
- 2007.10 Food processing unit at Sajo Logistics Center, registered as the plant for the EU/FDA export products (today’s Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs)
2008 History
- 2008.01 Food ingredients unit at Sajo Logistics Center, accredited with the HACCP
- 2008.11 Honored with the $50-million Export Tower
2010 History
- 2010.04 Constructed the Sajo Ship Potentia (Purse Seines) with the capacity of 1,100 tons
- 2010.07 Began the fishery product processing business for yellow Pollack at Sajo Logistics Center
- 2010.11 Honored with the $70-million Export Tower
- 2010.12 Renamed from Sajo CS Ltd. to Sajo Seafood Co., Ltd.
- 2010.12 Expanded the food business unit - Moved the Yeongcheon plant, a popcorn line in the food business unit
